VIAE is getting shipped to the US and Europe!

Secondly:

VIAE is finally heading to the fulfillment centers!

Here's the information for the Vessels heading to the two Fulfillment Centers in the US and Germany.

For the US (fulfillment to the west of the Atlantic Ocean):

The Vessel is: MAERSK SOFIA/946W

ETA at Port in the US: NEW YORK, NY: Dec 14, 2019

ETA at Fulfillment Center: Quartermaster Logistics, JACKSONVILLE, FL: Dec 20, 2019

For Europe (fulfillment to the east of the Atlantic Ocean):

The Vessel is: COSCO SHIPPING HIMAL/0PFB3W1MA

ETA at Port in Germany: HAMBURG: Dec 17, 2019

ETA at Fulfillment Center: HappyShops, HAMBURG: Dec 17, 2019

FYI: Due to being part of a Container with other freight, the Container No. can't be tracked publicly.

The Fulfillment Centers will try to ship out all the Games as soon as they get them, but since it's the Holiday season, unfortunately, I can't guarantee that you'll get your Games before the Holidays.

I have to say, you have been incredibly kind in understanding that I made a mistake by not setting the freight shipping lanes in place before the campaign. Even though I had the production line ready to go, (which got me fired up to announce that we'll be able to ship early) the moment when I realized that the freight shipping wasn't taken care of yet made me feel like I disappointed you. Thankfully, nearly all of you have been supportive and didn't mind the hick up. In the end, I wished you could've gotten your copy of VIAE earlier, but my initial estimate of December turned out to be tight, but not impossible.

Once the Games have arrived at the Fulfillment centers, they will pick and pack the games and send them your way (with tracking of course). Depending on where you live in relation to the fulfillment center, it might take a bit longer until you get it compared to others.

Shipping Update. We're getting there soon.

Hello my dear Backers!

First, I need to apologize for the lack of updates. There will be more in the future.

You're surely wondering when we'll start shipping, when you'll get your Game and what I'm working on.

Unfortunately, the freight shipping has turned into quite a pickle. I'm Working with Quartermaster Logistics (for all shipments to the US, Canada, and Australia) and HappyShops (For all shipments in the EU area excluding Switzerland) to ensure you'll get your Game shipped proper.

But one thing I underestimated was the freight shipping from the manufacturer to the fulfillment centers mentioned above. This has in no way the fault of the manufacturer nor the fulfillment centers, I simply underestimated the workload. I'm not experienced in this field and underestimated the costs. This, however, will not result in me failing to deliver your backed products. Your patience and trust mean everything to me.

To manage the freight shipping, I've begun working with OTX, a logistics partner that specializes in freight shipping solutions. We're working on the best way to ship out the games to the fulfillment centers, ensuring you won't have to wait much longer. Initially, the shipping time on Kickstarter was set for December, but thanks to the efficient work WinGo and I had done prior to the campaign, production went incredibly smooth. This led me to believe, that I could send out your games as early as November. I apologize for that statement. I don't want to promise anything I can't ensure.

If the only thing, I have learned a lot about freight shipping, taxation and import costs for future endeavors. And once again, I hope you can understand that I'm trying my best. There is nothing that I want more than to get the game into your hands as soon as possible.

Hello dear Backers!

Once again I have a bunch of great things to tell you about!

VIAE IS READY TO SHIP!

Production is completed and now I'm waiting on some stragglers to complete their BackerKit Survey. This has delayed the start of sending out your rewards a bit, so if you haven't finalized your BackerKit order, please do so as soon as possible. Backers who fail to do so will unfortunately have their pledge cancelled. Please let me know if you're missing your direct link to BackerKit.

"When can I expect to receive my Game?"

I can't make any promises. I do everything I can to ensure you'll get the game as soon as possible though. I expect to have all Games at their respective distribution centers by the end of October. Freight shipping will take about 5-6 weeks from the manufacturer and depending on where you live, another week or two for the distributor to handle, repack and reroute your copy. I'm confident they will arrive sooner as expected.

Now let me tell you about recent happenings and what there's to come:

VIAE was at Zurich Game Show!

If you follow VIAE on Social Media, you might have seen that I had a Booth at Zurich Game Show where 3 historically authentic Roman re-enactors and I presented the Game. I had 30 units of the Game express shipped for this show, and by Sunday midday I was completely sold out. Sold out of Coins, Bags and Games. We had two tables (and later added a 3rd) for players to test out the game, which were occupied throughout the day! We even had to start taking reservations! The feedback I received and seeing so many people having fun playing my game was simply incredible. It was truly a dream come true.

Next Up in the VIAE timeline:

• BasGame - Board Games Event in Basel (Saturday, 28th of September in Basel)
• Shipping begins
• Pre-orders close and will be replaced by an online shop.
• DuBischDrah - Board Game Meet up with Darwin's Choice and Walls (October 18th in Altstätten)
• SPIEL Essen - hopefully, not yet confirmed (24th - 27th of October)
• HeroFest - esports, gaming and fantasy convention at BernExpo (22nd - 24th of November)

UPDATES - Lots of them!

Hello dear Backers! First off, let me tell you about the exciting developments of the past few weeks!

• 89% of Backers completed their Surveys!
• We're 3 weeks in mass production with the Games and the Add-Ons.
• VIAE has a booth at Zürich Game Show September 13th-15th!
• The Add-Ons look amazing!
• VIAE will ship a lot earlier than expected!

Production Update and shipping estimate:

As you might think, there are always minor delays before you can really go into mass production. Once you do, there's no turning back. We checked everything twice and then some, just to be absolutely sure you'll get the best possible product you deserve!

Luckily I had pretty much everything ready to go, so we were able to begin mass production end of July. What does this mean for you Backers? Well, I'm happy to announce that the expected delivery date of your Game will NOT be December but likely no later than October! (This of course depends on your local postal service)

Zürich Game Show:

Thanks to the excellent work of WinGo Industries, the manufacturer of VIAE, I will have a VERY limited amount of Games (~20) to premiere at Zürich Game Show. This means, that aside from having a couple demo games handy for anyone interested to try it out, I will have some to sell on site (CHF 75.-) towards the cost of having the booth. - Now I know some of you may dislike that I sell copies before you have gotten your copy of VIAE, but a convention this size is paramount to reach out to new players.

I have been assured by WinGo that your games will be ready to ship soon after, so you won't have to wait too long. I just hope that you understand. If you are attending Zürich Game Show, you can however pick up your base game (no add-ons at that time) be sure to have completed your survey and please contact me via mail at [email protected] in advance.

Here's a few Updates for you!

Survey Completion at 85%

85% have already completed the survey and locked in your rewards! This is incredible! If you haven't completed your survey yet, please do so.

If you can't find your invitation email, get in touch and I will get you sorted out.

Name in the Rulebook?

If you are a Praetor or Tribune Backer, and haven't completed your survey yet, you need to do so until tomorrow at noon (GMT+1), wednesday the 24th of July to secure your Name being added to the Rulebook! If you complete it at a later point, you'll still get your other rewards, but since the printing of the game has started, the print files will already be submitted to the manufacturer and unfortunately your Name will not make the cut... Manufacturing is on a tight schedule, since we aim to deliver VIAE as soon as possible.

The Pre-Order store has been updated:

The Game is available for Pre-Order up until end of August.
